- Dan dresses as "Batboy", a spoof on Batman.
- The police drawings resembles Dan and Chris' voice actors Curtis Armstrong and Dave Foley.
- While in traffic, Dan says "Why did that funeral have to take so long?" implying he's getting back from a funeral. It's possible it could be his Grandma, as she's implied to be dead a couple episodes later in "The Beach".
- It's revealed in this episode that mace and tear-gas have no effect on Dan.
- Dan's sub sandwich contains vegetables and cheese, but throughout the series, it is established that Dan hates vegetables and is lactose intolerant.
